Packaging Order

  • For the calculation of the Michigan Achievement Scholarship Minimum Award, a student’s individual COA can be considered.

    The calculation of the Michigan Achievement Scholarship Last-Dollar must be applied towards tuition, contact hours and mandatory fees.

    Both Michigan Achievement Scholarship Minimum and Last-Dollar Award must remain within the student's individual COA.
  • Yes, an institution can perform a recalculation of the Last-dollar award if other gift aid has been adjusted.
  • The last dollar award must be used towards tuition, contact hours and mandatory fees. The minimum award can be applied to all components of the Cost of Attendance.
  • Graduates of 2023 or higher cannot receive Michigan Competitive Scholarship. Private Institutions can award both the Michigan Tuition Grant and the Michigan Achievement Scholarship to eligible students.
  • There would be no change to the Michigan Tuition Grant (MTG) amount, but after Michigan Tuition Grant (MTG) is included in the student’s financial aid award, it could reduce the Michigan Achievement Last-dollar Award that the student may be eligible for.
  • Yes, the Michigan Achievement Scholarship Minimum Award can be applied to all components of the COA and be refunded to the student.
  • Michigan Achievement Scholarship Last-dollar Award must be applied towards a student’s actual tuition, contact hours and mandatory fees. 
  • There is no minimum dollar amount.
  • Yes, the Michigan Achievement Scholarship Minimum Award must fit within the COA. The Minimum Award does not need to be reduced due to gift aid.
  • All eligible participants will receive the Michigan Achievement Scholarship Minimum Award up to their Cost of Attendance (COA).
