LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids (MVHGR) received generous support from food solutions company SpartanNash as more than 40 Associates assisted the home with landscape beautification projects during the company’s annual Helping Hands in the Community Day.
MVHGR maintains four member courtyards, one bistro courtyard area and multiple surrounding areas that required trimming, weeding, cleanup and other landscape maintenance.
“Your continued support of MVHGR has been instrumental in keeping our grounds in top shape and ensuring our veteran members have multiple outdoor areas to relax and enjoy,” said Tiffany Carr, community engagement coordinator for Michigan Veteran Homes.
“SpartanNash Associates give back to their communities through their volunteer efforts and we were happy to continue our support of the home and the veteran members who reside there,” said Dawn Bredeweg, manager of charitable giving for SpartanNash.
