LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti (MVHDJJ) is hosting their 26th annual Charity Golf Outing at the Marquette Heritage Golf Course at 1075 Grove St., Marquette on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10 a.m.
In support of life enrichment activities that improve the quality of life for members, the Home is accepting donations at various levels to include Gold Sponsors ($5,000), Silver Sponsors ($2,500), Bronze Sponsors ($1,500), Hero Sponsors ($250-$500) and Hole Sponsors ($150). All sponsors will be recognized with signage to signify their generous support. MVHDJJ is also seeking donations of gift certificates and new items for raffle prizes. Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsorships are requested by June 1, 2023 while Hero Sponsorships, Hole Sponsorships and raffle items are requested by June 10, 2023. “We greatly appreciate our legacy supporters as they have been incredibly generous over the last 20+ years to help us host an amazing golf outing,” said Ann Barsch, coordinator for the MVHDJJ Charity Golf Outing. “A successful golf outing leads to greater support of our veteran members through experiences, therapeutic programming and tangible items like fishing equipment, holiday parties, bingo games and other enriching activities.”
Registration for the four-person scramble format outing is currently open and golfers can download the registration form here: https://bit.ly/MVHDJJTeamRegistration23. The player package includes 18 holes of golf, one golf cart seat, coffee at registration, prizes and lunch. The Home is requesting teams return the registration form with payment of $340 prior to June 10, 2023. The outing will be limited to 36 teams so early sign-up is recommended.
Sponsor and team registration checks can be written to MVHDJJ and mailed to 425 Fisher St., Marquette, MI 49855. The Home has asked that checks be earmarked Life Enrichment - Golf. Donations of gift certificates or raffle items may be mailed, dropped off Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the lobby at the main entrance or picked up upon request.

Lajoie will participate in AHCA/NCAL’s Future Leaders program, which provides year-long training and mentorship for professionals in long-term and post-acute care.

LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Veteran Homes (MVH) has entered into an agreement with a private seller to acquire 38+ acres of land in Marquette Township. The subject property sits south of Marquette Cinemas, east of Wright Street and includes donated acres in honor of the property owner’s late father, U.S. Army Veteran Edward F. Scott.
