Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti and Michigan Elks Association to Hold Flag Day Ceremony

LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti (MVHDJJ) and the Michigan Elks Association will hold a Flag Day ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 14 in the chapel at 425 Fisher St., Marquette. The event will be led by Marquette Elks Lodge #405, Ishpeming Elks Lodge #447 and Negaunee Elks Lodge #1116.

The ceremony will include remarks by Mark Ketchum, exalted ruler of Ishpeming Elks Lodge #447; Pam Laurich, exalted ruler of Marquette Elks Lodge #405; U.S. Air Force Veteran and MVHDJJ Chaplain Dr. Jim Elenbaas; Pam Gadzinski, past exalted ruler of Negaunee Elks Lodge #1116; and Bob Wellman, the Michigan Elks Association veterans administration voluntary services (VAVS) representative for MVHDJJ and a member of Marquette Elks Lodge #405. The ceremony will also include music by MVHDJJ Veteran Facility Coordinator soloist Lois Westman.
