Training resources are available to help you provide the best care possible.

If you are applying for a license to provide in-home child care, orientation is mandatory. You will be scheduled for orientation after you have submitted a complete application.

The Child Care Licensing Center Orientation is now available through MiRegistry. This web-based and self-paced course will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the new licensing rules for child care centers. 

The Child Care Licensing Bureau is pleased to offer additional support on licensing rules and regulations. Our Health and Safety team is here to support you. If you are looking for additional training on a specific topic, please complete the survey below.

New Child Care Home Rules Training Schedule Released

The Child Care Licensing Bureau is pleased to invite you to participate in training on the New Rules for Child Care Homes.

To accommodate providers' schedules and preferences, training is available through in-person sessions, live Zoom presentations, or a self-paced virtual training option. To ensure all providers have an opportunity to register, please sign up for only one training session.

All providers will need to complete a training session by December 31, 2026.

*In-person training is for licensees only. If you would like your staff to attend a training, please have them sign up for a Zoom session or the self-paced training.

If you would rather attend a live Zoom presentation, we also have several options for you below.

Finally, we have an option for you to complete the training through a virtual self-paced video. You can access this video at any time and finish it at your own pace, as long as it is completed by December 31, 2026. More information will be released in a future edition of the Friday Flyer once this training option is live. 

Reminder: Please only sign up for one training session so that all providers have a chance to register. We will ensure that everyone has access to training and will add more sessions as needed, so there is no need to sign up for multiple sessions.
