Developing New Statewide MiTransfer Pathways

Overview

A major component of MiLEAP OHE’s Transfer Success Project is developing additional MiTransfer Pathways, multi-institutional articulation agreements that map transfer courses in like programs at participating institutions across the state. Similarly supported by the legislature, the first MiTransfer Pathways launched in 2020 in the following programs: Art, Biology, Business, Communication, Criminal Justice, Exercise Science, Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, Public Health and Social Work.

The program areas recommended below for the next set of MiTransfer Pathways to be developed in 2026-2027 are a result of extensive data analysis, desk research, advice from our facilitation partners at Sova, critical insights from MiLEAP OHE’s Advisory Council on Transfer Success (ACTS), and constructive feedback gleaned during listening sessions with Michigan’s academic affairs leaders and other stakeholders. These programs represent high-need workforce areas in Michigan, many of which are also considered high-wage opportunities. We expect 10+ new MiTransfer Pathways to be developed by convening the disciplines listed below.
