The Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS) has identified a system issue. Some employees who are new to the Michigan Public School Employees' Retirement System aren't showing up on the list of New Members Who Have Made Their Election on the View Election Status page of the Employer Reporting website.
The issue appears to be affecting only those employees who didn't make an election during their election window and have defaulted. These employees will show up on the Member Benefit Plans screen or on the Download Detail.
For employees who default into the Defined Contribution Plan, you'll still need to make Detail 4 adjustments. ORS will notify you when the issue is fixed. If you have questions, contact ORS_Web_Reporting@Michigan.gov.
