FAFSA Value Worksheet

If the MET contract purchaser is a parent, use this worksheet to calculate the refund value of your MET contract. This calculation reflects requirements under the Higher Education Reconciliation Act (HERA), which mandates recalculating financial aid packages for prepaid tuition programs. The information you determine here may be used when completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

If the MET Contract was purchased by someone other than a parent or beneficiary under UGMA/UTMA, you are not required to disclose the MET contract on the FAFSA form.
