Primary Information for Provider Training

TRAINING RESOURCES

Training resources are available to help you provide the best care possible.

If you are applying for a license to provide in-home child care, orientation is mandatory. You will be scheduled for orientation after you have submitted a complete application. If space is available, current family home and group home licensees may be able to attend an orientation session as a refresher. Please contact your licensing consultant regarding this option.

If you operate a child care center, orientation is available several times a year. If you would like to attend an orientation session, please view the Child Care Center Orientation Schedule or contact your licensing consultant for availability information.

Child Care Homes

For child care home providers:
If you would like to earn 2 clock hours towards your required professional development hours, click HERE to take an assessment of learning test. You will use the same access code that you use for the MCCM tests.  If you need an access code, please email riebels@michigan.gov to request one. Due to the high demand of online training and testing requests, the process is currently taking 2-3 business days to send access codes to requestors. In order to help speed up the process, please send only one request for access codes.

For child care center providers:

Online Training on Infant Safe Sleep for Child Care Providers

You may access the training by clicking on the link above or by going to www.miregistry.org and clicking on Search Training. Enter Infant Safe Sleep for Child Care Providers in the Course Title field and click Search. To register for the event, click the blue REGISTER button.
