1.06: Overview of the reporting process

Payroll reporting consists of six basic steps. Some of these steps may have to be repeated to complete the process.

  1. Check Employer Reporting website for plan updates since the last pay cycle and make updates to payroll system if needed.
  2. Submit retirement report on the Employer Reporting website, based on payroll data.
  3. After receiving feedback from the ORS system, work on the report to make all records valid.
  4. Verify report totals.
  5. Accept the report to post the data to the member accounts.
  6. Make payment to ORS for the contributions due.
