State Law Enforcement Commission Seeks New Leadership - Five Finalists SelectedContact: MCOLES 517-322-1417
June 24, 2010 - LANSING - Missaukee County Sheriff James Bosscher announced today names of five finalists who will compete for the position of Executive Director of the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES). The finalists are Executive Commander James Davis, of the Wayne County Sheriff Office; City Manager and former Police Chief David L. Harvey of Garden City; Captain Kim Johnson of the East Lansing Police Department; and, Ms. Hermina Kramp and Mr. John Steele who are both senior staff members with MCOLES.
The finalists will gather in Lansing on July 15 for public assessment sessions with the Commission's selection panel. Sheriff Bosscher, who serves as the Commission's chair person, praised the final field of candidates, stating "Our decision will be difficult, only because the candidates are so promising."
