The Physical Fitness Test will be held at the GVSU Police Academy on the Frederik Meijer Campus at Holland (515 S. Waverly Rd. Holland, MI 49423). Please bring your completed and signed original MCOLES Physician’s Health Screening Form and appropriate fitness clothing and footwear for the Physical Fitness Test. Please plan on arriving for the test at least :30 minutes prior to the start time and for approximately 2 hours for all 20 participants to complete all events.

The cost of the Physical Fitness Test is $50 and is payable by check or money order only. Please bring the check to the test and make it payable to Grand Valley State University Police Academy. The reservation deadline is 1600 hours (4pm) on the Wednesday prior to the test date.

The mandated training requirements may be accomplished at the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Law Enforcement Training Center. The training center is located at Kalamazoo Valley Community College's Groves Center, 7107 Elm Valley Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.

The Physical Fitness Test will be held in the Miller Gym in the Miller Physical Education Building on the KCC Battle Creek Campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek. Please bring your completed and signed original MCOLES Physician’s Health Screening Form and appropriate clothing and athletic shoes.
The cost of the Physical Fitness test is $55 and is payable via credit or debit card only. The application deadline is 4 p.m. the Wednesday prior to the testing date. Cancellations for a refund must be received by that time. All payments will be processed on Thursday or Friday prior to the test.

The MCOLES physical fitness test consists of four separate events: vertical jump, sit-ups, push-ups, and a ½ mile shuttle run. The cost to take the test will be $55. Candidates should contact the test site directly to register for the physical fitness pre-enrollment test. Official notification of the test result will be given to the candidates on the day of the test. The results will be on an official form and the score will be reported as PASS or FAIL.
The physical fitness test must be taken no sooner than 180 days before the beginning of the training academy session. Tests are offered only at training academies which are under Commission supervision. Other forms of fitness testing will not be accepted, although applicants are encouraged to practice the events prior to testing at an official site. Law enforcement agencies are encouraged to use the fitness testing as a pre-screening device prior to sending their applicants to an official MCOLES test.
Attendees must bring a completed Physician Health Screening Form with them the day of the test. Candidates will also need a driver’s license and $55 cash or check.
Testing location is in the Practice Gym PEIF Building (Third St and Fair Ave) at 8:00 A.M.

To register for the physical agility test please mail your application and $45.00 (MONEY ORDER or CASHIER'S CHECK ONLY) made payable to the Oakland Police Academy, 2900 Featherstone Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. You may also hand deliver your application and payment prior to the deadline.
You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this test. You must also receive a health screening by a licensed M.D. or D.O. within 180 days of the test date. You must have a completed Physician’s Health Screening Form (TC-50) dated within 180 days of the test. The cost is $45 payable by MONEY ORDER ONLY to OAKLAND POLICE ACADEMY.

The location for the test is Schoolcraft College Public Safety Complex, Academy Training Center at 31777 Industrial Road, Livonia, MI 48150.
To register for the agility test, you must pre-pay in-person before the test date. You can pre-register up to the Friday before the test. You will need to come to our location at 31777 Industrial Rd., Livonia to pre-register; the hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm. Payment options include: $50 exact cash or a money order made out to "Schoolcraft College". If you live more than an hour away, please call Mary Jane Richards at 734-462-4306.
