The City of Alma is currently seeking applicants for the position of a full-time police officer. Alma Police Department is an MLEAC Accredited agency officers are held to the highest standards of professionalism. You will be welcomed into a team atmosphere backed by an all-encompassing training program.
- Candidates must be MCOLES licensed or licensable. The starting wage is $28.68 (Lateral Considered) with a competitive benefit package.
- Applicants must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
- Applicants should be comfortable providing police services with problem solving and a community-oriented policing approach.
- Applicants must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and present an excellent professional image.
- Applicants must pass: physical exam including drug test, psychological exam, and a thorough background investigation to be considered for employment.
