GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for the citizens of the City of Ecorse through effective patrol techniques, community policing, and responding to all calls for assistance.
Under the general direction of the Chief of Police, through the Chain of Command, reports directly to the shift supervisor.
Must be physical fit, and within proportionate height/weight standards and be able to pass a physical exam. Must have required knowledge of laws, court procedures and government services. Possess a thorough knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer service to the community.
All other aspects of a police officer will be explored during the interview to see if a candidate is suitable for the position.
