POSITION SUMMARY:
Acts as the first line representative of the Village within the Holly Area School District to create and maintain a positive relationship with a diverse community through sound Community Policing principles. Work 8-hour shifts performing school security, and investigations of criminal activity; Participates in investigating criminal law violations occurring within the Village/school limits, obtaining evidence and compiling information regarding crimes, preparing cases for filing of charges, testifying in court, and related activities; Carries out duties in conformance with Federal, State, County, and Village laws and ordinances while ensuring the public’s constitutional rights are upheld. This position requires substantial contact with general public, school students, staff and parents, court officials, and other Village officials in the performance of police operating activities. Other duties as required to work within an established SRO program as one of three SRO Officers.
With 5 years previous Licensed LE experience: Starting pay is at $30.70 per-hour.
