The City of Harbor Beach Police Department is accepting applications for the positions of a full-time and part-time Police Officer. The Harbor Beach Police Department's mission is to protect the lives and property of the community we serve, to reduce crime and enhance the safety of the public and to do so with integrity, honor, and respect.
Position Summary/Job Description:
Perform the responsibilities of a law enforcement officer doing general patrol, regulate traffic, protect life, property and prevent criminal activity; assist at traffic accidents, and medical calls; investigate criminal activities by obtaining and compiling information regarding those crimes; prepare reports to file appropriate charges, testify in court and carry out duties in the conformance of Federal law, State law, and local ordinances.
Full-time benefits include health insurance, health care savings plan, a defined benefit retirement (25 years of service/Age 50), life insurance, short- & long-term disability, and a starting hourly wage of $30.14.
MCOLES Certified Lateral Transfer candidates will receive a $7,500.00 signing bonus and 80 hours of vacation upon being hired.
