Community Policing Innovation Fund

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Community Policing Innovations Fund, established to identify and support pathways for investment, leadership, and impact on community projects that address systemic equities in policing and public safety.

The Community Policing Innovations Fund are seeking applications from communities across the seven-county region who have a genuine commitment to innovating their local police departments by building change in their practices and/or redesigning their structure and services.

Selected communities will receive an average of $40,000 towards local and national technical assistance support for the following priority areas:

  1. Use of Force
  2. Officer Accountability
  3. Disparate Enforcement and Treatment
  4. Re-Imagining Public Safety
  5. Truth & Reconciliation Efforts

Applications are open now. They are due on March 1, 2021 by 5:00 p.m.
Visit https://cfsem.org/initiative/policing-fund/ for more details on this unique opportunity.

The Community Policing Innovations Fund are also welcoming local technical assistance providers who are working in these priority areas to apply to be hired for portions of this effort.
