General Statement of Duties:
Performs general police and fire fighting as a member of a combined police-fire unit; does related work as required.
Benefits:
- Wages: $87,891 in 42 months or less.

Minimum Qualifications:
- MCOLES Physical Test Certification
- MCOLES Written Test Certification
- Current MCOLES Basic Police Officer Certification or Michigan Fire Certification High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of 60 college credits.
- Prior Military, Police, or Fire Service may be considered in lieu of college credits upon record review & discussion.
- Be 21 years of age at the time of application
- Be a resident of the State of Michigan
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Have no felony convictions
- Possess a valid Michigan drivers license
- Possess good moral character / free from drug dependency
- If required, must be able to pass the firefighter's agility test
- Be eligible to be certified as a firefighter l and ll. Prior certification is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
- Meet all minimum standards as mandated by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and the Michigan Firefighters Training Council.
