Todd Butler, Deputy Director
Todd Butler is focused on developing solutions to the many challenges faced by Michigan’s veterans. Before joining the MVAA, he led Michigan’s Jobs for Veterans State Grant and helped develop programming designed to assist Michigan’s incarcerated veteran population.
Todd is a Marine and Army National Guard veteran. He served as a Mortarman with the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment and as a Forward Support Company and Recruiting and Retention Battalion Company Commander with the Michigan Army National Guard. His awards and decorations include two Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Two Army Reserve Component Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, and US Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
Todd has a Bachelor of Business Management from Spring Arbor University and is working toward a Master’s in Business Administration from Davenport University.
Todd is a husband, father and grandfather who spends his free time with his family boating, biking, hunting, and generally enjoying the outdoors.
