Are you interested in hiring veterans into your organization, but don't know where to start? Pure Michigan Talent Connect is an employment website for employers and potential employees in Michigan. Employers can post job openings, view candidates' resumes and learn more about hiring events in Michigan. When screening potential candidates, employers can identify veterans in the job pool by the veteran symbol on an individual's profile. In addition, participating veterans receive 24 hours' advance notice of job postings before the general public.
The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Workforce Development Veterans' Employment Services team consists of highly skilled Veterans' Career Advisors (VCA) and Local Veterans' Employment Representatives (LVER) who are trained to assist veterans with transitioning back into the civilian workplace and overcoming specific barriers to employment.
