Non-VA Primary Care or Dual Use of VA

Not every veteran receives their medical care at the VA. Many veterans who obtain health care through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) also utilize other sources of health care. Such "dual use" of VA and non-VA care may enhance access, flexibility and choice in health care for veterans. 

 

To ensure that your veteran/military experiences-including any potential unique health risks-are fully assessed, let your non-VA provider know of your service and what that means to you or your household.
