Agricultural Industries
Designed for students who are interested in gaining in-depth agricultural industry and business knowledge to apply to their own operation or to launch a career in the industry. The program allows students the flexibility to focus on agronomy, horticulture, animal science or agricultural business. This 18-month program integrates a wise range of disciplines including business, leadership, technology and communications through hands-on laboratory learning and classroom formats. It is possible for students to complete the Agricultural Industries Certificate and transfer on to a four-year degree program.Beef Cattle Management
Designed to allow students the opportunity to specialize within a one-year intensified program, this program provides students with a greater knowledge of both cow/calf operations and feedlot segments. Students will have the opportunity to take courses from Department of Animal Science faculty and work hands-on with one of the most notable purebred herds in the U.S. and the feedlot at MSU's Beef Cattle Research Center. A hands-on clerkship at the MSU Purebred Beef Cattle Center and MSU Beef Cattle Research Center is central to the program.
Dairy Management
Designed to give students a basic foundation of knowledge and skills about dairy cows, the dairy industry and dairy farming as a business. Courses are practical in nature and focus on the basic knowledge and skills needed to be successful on all types of dairy operations as an owner, herdsman or dairy farm employee. Students are also employed by agricultural businesses that support dairy operations.
Horse Management
Designed to allow students the opportunity to specialize in the area of horse management, the typical program model includes three semesters of on-campus, academic based learning opportunities and one semester of off-campus placement training at a horse facility. Students have the choice of tailoring their area of interest toward management, reproduction, riding instruction or training. All students will complete an industry-related internship.
Swine Management
This one-year, intensified program provides students with a greater knowledge of swine enterprise management through experiential learning, clerkship programs and an internship. The swine clerkship at the MSU Swine Teaching and Research Center is designed to provide students with a thorough hands-on experience in modern swine production.
Turfgrass Management
The certificate program with a golf course emphasis is directed towards preparing students for a rewarding career as a golf course superintendent or other career options in the golf industry. The program provides students with a solid background in plant science along with the specific expertise and skills needed for a career in golf course supervision and management. Previous work experience on a golf course maintenance crew is expected. -

MCTI's Information Technology program is a recognized CompTIA Authorized Academy and Cisco Networking Academy. It includes a well-equipped computer lab that provides a realistic setting for up-to-date, hands-on training. Students spend approximately 30 hours a week maintaining and repairing office management systems, computers, laptops, mobile devices, copiers, printers, and other office equipment. Depending on interest and ability, students may pass up to 10 internationally recognized certifications for the IT industry.

Custodial Program
This program is designed to train individuals to be capable, well-qualified building and commercial custodians. Through hands-on training, students gain experience in daily cleaning and floor maintenance, stripping of floors, restroom sanitation, daily carpet cleaning and shampooing and using and maintaining equipment. Students are also trained to follow work schedules and keep inventory.Grounds Maintenance/Landscaping Program
Run like a small grounds maintenance and landscaping business, students serve as the crew and work as a team, gaining actual experience on the school campus. Power equipment and hand tools are used to maintain lawns and other areas; trim and prune hedges and bushes; and plant trees, shrubs, and flowers. In the winter months, students are exposed to snow and ice removal using plows. The manufacturing and service industries use welding as a means to build and repair products. LCC offers a Paramedic Certificate of Achievement and an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services. Certified Nurse Assistant Program
Students learn patient care techniques in a simulated lab environment, followed by a clinical rotation at a nursing home. Hands-on instruction in patient care, communication, medical terminology, documentation and medical equipment is also provided. Upon completion of the program, students are offered study and practice sessions to prepare for the state competency exam.
Pharmacy Technician Program
Students receive hands-on training in applied pharmacy skills including performing pharmacy-related calculations, cashiering, and inventory management through participation in a mock pharmacy lab. In addition, students acquire essential skills needed to interact professionally with pharmacy customers, coworkers and other health care professionals. Machine Technology Program
Students learn various machining operations, such as manual milling, turning and grinding. With successful completion of manual training, advancing students choose either welding or training in Computerized Numerical Control.
Automotive Technology Program
Students are trained in basic shop practices and have experience working on vehicles. During each 10-week course, students may train in the diagnosis and repair of brakes, suspensions, electrical, heating/air conditioning and engine performance systems, working toward state and national certifications.
