Military Sexual Trauma
Military sexual trauma, or MST, is the term used by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to refer to experiences of sexual assault or threatening sexual harassment that a veteran experienced during their military service. VA is strongly committed to ensuring that veterans have access to the help they need in order to recover from MST.
For more information regarding military sexual trauma, visit the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website.
For help with treatment and health care related to experiences of MST, contact your local VA Medical Center and ask to speak to the MST Coordinator.
For help with disability compensation related to MST, contact the MST Coordinator at your local Veterans Benefits Administration Regional Office.
