Reporting Instruction Manual
Reporting process
Reporting your payroll to ORS
Reporting payroll takes six basic steps. You may need to repeat some steps to finish the task.
- Check the Employer Reporting website for plan updates. Do this before every pay cycle. Update your payroll system if you need to.
- Submit your retirement report on the Employer Reporting website. Use your current payroll data to do this.
- Look for feedback from the ORS system. Fix any mistakes in the report until every record is correct.
- Check the report totals to make sure they are accurate.
- Accept the report. This will post the data to the member accounts.
- Send a payment to ORS for the money you owe.
You can use the Reporting Process Checklist for more help. This job aid shows you the steps. It also tells you where to find more details in the manual.
