Reporting Instruction Manual
Step 1: Check for changes

Employees with a Defined Contribution (DC) Plan can change how much they save. This includes those in Pension Plus Plan, Pension Plus 2 Plan, or the Personal Healthcare Fund (PHF). They can also change rates if they have the Deferred Compensation option.

To make a change, the employee must contact Voya Financial. Voya then sends these updates to the Michigan Office of Retirement Services. You can see these changes on the View DC Feedback File screen.

Voya sends three types of data:

  • Changes to savings rates made by the employee.
  • Mandatory savings rates for new employees.
  • Savings rates for members in the State of Michigan 457 Plan.

Check the DC feedback file every pay cycle. A green box will appear on the Work on Reports page when there is new data. Use these updates to fix DTL4 records based on the Effective Report End Date.

How to review the DC records

Log in to the Employer Reporting website and select View DC Feedback.

There are three main parts:

  1. Search Criteria: Use this to find a worker by name or Social Security number.
  2. Unread Feedback: This section shows new changes you haven't checked.
  3. Read Feedback: This shows records you already checked.

Check the Read Record box to move data from the unread section to the read section.
