Once you Tri it, you'll love it!
Through MI Tri-Share, the cost of an employee's licensed child care is shared equally among the employer, the employee and the State of Michigan — a three-way split. With MI Tri-Share, parents can go to work knowing that their kids are safe, cared for and have the opportunity to succeed.
NEW! Support more employees with MI Care-Share add-on!
Employers can now extend this child care benefit to employees above MI Tri-Share’s income eligibility!
With the MI Care-Share add-on, employers continue to contribute 33%, while the employee covers the remaining 67%.
The MI Care-Share option allows a participating employer to offer a 33% child care cost benefit to any employee, with those employees who meet the MI Tri-Share household income eligibility getting another 33% covered by the state.
