More Michiganders are accessing postsecondary education, earning credentials and following pathways to high-wage careers. Through statewide programs and collaboration with institutions of higher education and partners across Michigan, the Office of Higher Education (OHE) within MiLEAP is helping advance Michigan’s Sixty by 30 goal by strengthening the systems that support access, affordability, student success, and workforce opportunity.

  • $740M+ IN STUDENT AID | The Michigan Achievement Scholarship has supported more than 110,000 students since 2023. 
  • STATE-FUNDED AID HAS MORE THAN DOUBLED | The share of Michigan undergraduates receiving state-funded aid has grown from 13.4% to 28.4%. 
  • 94,000 ADULT LEARNERS REENGAGED | Michigan Reconnect is helping working adults return to education, earn credentials and pursue new career pathways. 
  • STUDENT SUCCESS GRANTS TRANSFORMING HIGHER EDUCATION | 44 of Michigan’s 46 public and tribal colleges have received grants to grow their graduation rates.
