- Community Collaboration: Working with community leaders to understand opportunities in the communities we serve to advance our mission.
- Community Connections: Directly connecting with underserved Michiganders to ensure even more individuals across our state can access the vital resources we provide.
- Moving Males Forward: Ensuring access to postsecondary opportunities and addressing disparities in postsecondary credential attainment by men.
Moving Michigan Males Forward
Ensuring access to postsecondary opportunities and addressing disparities in postsecondary credential attainment by men.
In April 2025, Governor Whitmer issued an executive directive to address the underrepresentation of key groups—especially men—pursuing a postsecondary degree or skills certificate. The FY26 budget includes dedicated funding to close these gaps in credential attainment, and MiLEAP is ready to put those resources to work.
Moving Michigan Males Forward Convening
MiLEAP hosted the Moving Michigan Males Forward Convening on December 3, 2025. The event brought together education leaders, business and industry partners, workforce experts and philanthropic organizations to explore challenges, opportunities and strategies for supporting Michigan’s young men thrive in school, work and life.
