Veteran Service Provider of the Year
The deadline to submit your nomination is September 30, 2026.
PRESENTED TO: A County Veterans Affairs Office or Veteran Service Organization that demonstrates noteworthy impact on its veteran population in the areas of benefit connectivity, employment, education, health care, quality of life and/or innovative programming.
PURPOSE: To recognize a veteran services provider whose efforts and impact on the veteran population, in the areas of benefit connectivity, employment, education, health care, quality of life, and/or innovative programming, improve the lives for veterans and their families while providing other providers an example to emulate.
ELIGIBILITY:
• Must have a VSO (Veteran Service Officer)
• Must be a Michigan-based governmental entity or nonprofit organization with the explicit purpose of serving veterans.
• Submissions should include detailed examples and data, to the extent possible, on the service provider’s efforts and impact toward the award’s purpose.
This program is administered by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. Anyone can nominate candidates for this award, but the nominee must meet the eligibility criteria. Submissions will be reviewed by an independent panel. The award recipient will be notified and honored at the Michigan Military & Veterans Gala on November 07, 2026.
