Jason retired from the Michigan Army National Guard in 2020 after 23 years of military service. His duty assignments included time in artillery, military police, recruiting, finance and human resources.
His awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal (x2), Army Commendation Medal (x2), Army Achievement Medal (x6), Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge and the Iraq Campaign Medal.
Jason holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Public Administration from Columbia Southern University and a bachelor's from DeVry University.
In addition to serving Michigan's veterans, Jason also serves his community as a paid on-call firefighter with the Dewitt Township Fire Department.
He and his wife Stephanie live in DeWitt with their four children. His hobbies include hunting, playing hockey, camping and spending time with his family.
