The U.P. Together With Veterans and the Marquette County Veterans Service Office are coordinating an outreach event sponsored by the Gwinn VFW and Auxiliary for Wednesday, October 14th, 2026, from 12 – 2pm at the Gwinn VFW.
The event is open to the public, and geared towards anyone who has ever served, anywhere, at any time, their families, and anyone providing care for a Veteran.
FREE lunch for Veterans + one guest provided by the Gwinn VFW and Auxiliary. Please bring *proof of service.
Less than 50% of Veterans are connected to the benefits they’ve earned. Connection saves lives and improves quality of life.
We aim to build Veteran participation in healthcare and wellbeing activities by promoting connectedness and help seeking.
Marquette County and American Legion Veteran Service Officers will be on hand to schedule appointments, answer questions and provide benefits information.
Iron Mountain VA Medical Center Enrollment and Eligibility Specialist will be available to process healthcare enrollments. Representatives will also offer VA information on current and local topics, and healthcare and benefits information, including *PACT Act, suicide prevention, and other resources.
Representatives from other organizations will offer information on several topics.
