MVAA Grants

The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) administers a variety of competitive and non-competitive grants to veteran servicing organizations across the state. In Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25), MVAA distributed and administered more than $10 million in grant funding to 81 participating organizations.

In addition to granting funds to eligible organizations, MVAA provides emergency assistance to eligible military veterans and their families. For more information about available programs, visit the MVAA Emergency Assistance website.

The SVSPG grant is limited to organizations that are either recognized by the federal Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel or those that hold a congressional charter and can employ state-accredited veteran service officers to prepare claims for benefits administered by the federal Veteran Benefit Administration.
