2024 Veteran of the Year
PRESENTED TO: The Michigan veteran who demonstrates a commitment to citizenship and civic responsibility, through the giving of their time, passion, and heart to efforts and/or organizations that support their community(ies).
MVAA and Trust Fund Exceptional Service Award
PRESENTED TO: The individual or county that best utilizes a County Veteran Service Fund (CVSF) grant to implement innovative ideas that further or improve service to veterans and their families, or to an individual that most represents exceptional and dedicated service to veterans and their families.
Veteran Friendly Volunteer of the Year
PRESENTED TO: A [non-veteran] Michigan volunteer who demonstrates outstanding service and impact to veteran/military community, and/or veteran organizations, through the giving of their time, passion, and heart to a cause(s), ultimately serving those men and women who’ve served each of us.
Community Outreach and Regional Engagement (Core) Award
PRESENTED TO: The Community Outreach and Regional Engagement (CORE) initiative participant who demonstrates excellence in engaging, reaching, and serving veterans in their region, through proactive efforts in outreach and connecting veterans to the resources and benefits earned in service.
DMVA Employee of the Year
PRESENTED TO: The DMVA employee who demonstrates excellence in the performance of their job duties in serving the men and women who’ve served us.
VA Employee of the Year
PRESENTED TO: The USDVA employee who demonstrates excellence in the performance of their job duties in serving the men and women who’ve served us.
Veteran Service Provider of the Year
PRESENTED TO: A County Veterans Affairs Office or Veteran Service Organization that demonstrates noteworthy impact on its veteran population in the areas of benefit connectivity, employment, education, health care, quality of life and/or innovative programming.
