The Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition's Ruck 18 is an annual awareness and fundraising event where participants carry weighted backpacks for up to 18 miles, symbolizing the roughly 18 Service Members and Veterans who die by suicide daily, with proceeds benefiting Blue Star Service Dogs to support veterans with PTSD and TBI. Held in Auburn, MI, the march honors fallen service members and Veterans, raises mental health awareness, and collects food for veteran pantries, encouraging community support along the route.
