Save the date for MVAAs 4th annual Women Veterans Conference in Grand Rapids
May 29, 2025
"Michigan's 47,000 women veterans have traveled a very different path than their male counterparts," says Andrea Norton, MVAA women veteran and underserved populations coordinator. "Its vital that we celebrate the women who have served, those still serving, and all those who support women veterans and service members from across the state of Michigan."
This year's conference theme is Sisters in Service: Thriving Beyond the Uniform. Throughout the three-day event, attendees will explore their shared history while cultivating personal growth and strengthening connections to help women veterans thrive in both their personal and professional lives.
The 2025 Women Veterans Conference will kick-off Thursday, Oct. 16, with an evening reception for the opportunity to connect with other women veterans and advocates. On Friday, Oct. 17, attendees should expect engaging presentations, a variety of vendors, information-sharing and chances to connect and build community with other women veterans. On Saturday, Oct. 18, conference attendees can 'choose your own adventure’ with a variety of activities taking place both on and offsite. To enrich the experience, volunteers who specialize in wellness services will donate their time and talents to help attendees learn best practices in self-care.
Sponsorship opportunities for the conference will impact the lives of Michigan's women veterans. For more information on becoming a event sponsor, review the sponsorship packet. To become a sponsor, contact Andrea Norton at NortonA9@Michigan.gov.
