MiLEAP and SBAM Invite Interested Child Care Professionals to Join to Learn More Ahead of the November 15 Nurture Benefits Enrollment Opening
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) is encouraging Michigan’s child care providers to register for a series of free, virtual webinars designed to help them explore new benefit options available through Nurture Benefits. The program expands access to affordable health, dental, vision, life, disability and retirement coverage for Michigan’s early childhood workforce.
“Helping child care professionals understand and access the resources available to them is essential to sustaining and strengthening Michigan’s early learning workforce,” said Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea, director of MiLEAP. “These webinars are a simple, no-cost way for providers to learn more about Nurture Benefits and take a meaningful step toward lasting stability for themselves and for the children and families they serve.”
Hosted by the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM), the sessions will walk providers through program offerings, who qualifies, and how to prepare for enrollment. Enrollment for the program opens on November 15, with coverage effective Jan. 1, 2026.
“We know benefits can feel overwhelming, so these webinars are designed to make things simple and approachable, said Michelle Beebe, chief revenue officer at SBAM. “We’ll walk through the plan designs, explain how enrollment works, and answer any questions child care providers have. It’s a great opportunity to get clear, helpful information and feel confident about what’s available through Nurture Benefits.”
