Aldevra Earns Recognition as Silver-Level Veteran-Friendly Employer & Michigan Veteran Connector
August 15, 2022
The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency is proud to announce that Aldevra LLC has achieved Silver-Level Veteran-Friendly Employer certification and designation as a Veteran Connector.
“Thirty-six percent of our employees are veterans,” said Rodney Marshall, Aldevra president & CEO. “We practice what we preach – whether a veteran-owned company or veteran employee – work with veterans! We show up ready to work and get the job done. No excuses; just results. True to our nature, we all wanted to know why we were only silver and not gold. We always aim high and know what it takes to achieve gold next time.”
Since its creation in 2013, the Michigan Veteran-Friendly Employer program has recognized more than 400 Michigan employers with either Bronze, Silver, or Gold-level status for their efforts in supporting the recruitment, training, and retention of veteran workforce talent. As part of the program, MVAA provides assistance to employers as they develop and improve their efforts to recruit and retain high-quality veteran candidates. The Michigan Veteran Connector recognizes health systems and community partners that are committed to supporting the needs of service members, veterans, and military-connected families. For more information about the Veteran-Friendly Employer and Connector program, including how to earn this recognition, the Employer Application is available on the MVAA website: https://www.michigan.gov/mvaa.
“Aldevra has shown a strong commitment to supporting Michigan veterans and I am pleased to see it become a Silver-level Veteran-Friendly Employer,” said MVAA Director Zaneta Adams. “Michigan veterans and their spouses are ready for the modern workplace and are highly equipped with valuable training and skills. Aldevra has taken notice of these skills and has worked to ensure that military veterans and their spouses are an important part of their operations as they carry out their mission.”
Aldevra has several initiatives in place to strengthen its military and veteran recruitment, training, and retention programs. This recent Silver-Level certification and designation as a Veteran Connector demonstrates Aldevra’s commitment to becoming one of Michigan’s top career options for veterans and their spouses.
