Opinions Division
The Opinions Division is responsible for assigning, coordinating, and reviewing all requests for a formal opinion of the Attorney General, and overseeing the preparation of responses to those requests. The Division Chief serves as the Chair of the Attorney General’s Opinion Review Board, as well as the Department’s Ethics Officer, and conducts opinion-writing and ethics training for the Department. The Opinions Division also advises the Attorney General on requests to initiate quo warranto actions and takes on significant projects as directed by the Attorney General, Chief Deputy, and Chief Legal Counsel.
