MI AG Nessel Commends Federal Government for Heeding the Call of 52 Attorneys General in Automatic Student Loan Forgiveness for Totally and Permanently Disabled Veterans

LANSING – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel issued the following statement commending the federal government today for heeding the advice of 52 Attorneys General to automatically forgive the student loans for totally and permanently disabled veterans.
“Disabled veterans face substantial challenges every day. After risking their lives for our country, it’s our duty to support them in every way we can.
“I’m glad to see the Trump administration has listened to the advice 51 Attorneys General and I submitted in support of automatic student loan forgiveness for totally and permanently disabled veterans.”
