Warren Woman to Stand Trial for Allegedly Filing False UCC Statements
March 10, 2026
LANSING – Yesterday, Genora Greene, 55, of Warren, appeared for arraignment in the 16th Circuit Court in Macomb County after being bound over to stand trial on six felonies for allegedly filing false Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) statements against staff of the 39th District Court in Roseville, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Greene was charged in October 2025 with three counts of Filing a False or Fraudulent Financing Statement, each a 5-year felony, and three counts of Uttering and Publishing, each a 14-year felony.
In October 2023, Greene allegedly filed false statements with the Michigan Department of State that a judge, an assistant prosecutor, and a court administrator from the 39th District Court had loan interests with her.
“Filing false UCC statements in an attempt to secure a loan or harass members of our judicial system is a serious crime,” said Attorney General Nessel. “I am glad this case will now proceed to trial, where my office will continue its commitment to prosecute those who attempt to use fraudulent legal filings for personal gain or to intimidate public servants.”
Greene will next appear before 16th Circuit Court Judge James Biernat for pretrial on March 30.
