May 14, 2026
LANSING – On May 12, Bradley Curtis Drake, 29, of Ludington, was sentenced by the Honorable Susan K. Sniegowski of the 51st Circuit Court in Mason County to 17-60 years’ incarceration for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in 2022, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
“Those who prey upon children will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Attorney General Nessel. “I am grateful for the diligent efforts of the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, the Mason County Sheriff’s Department, and the prosecutors in my office for ensuring this perpetrator is held accountable for such a heinous crime.”
Drake began requesting sexually explicit pictures and videos and sexually assaulting the victim in January 2022 when they resided in the same Mason County home until the abuse was reported in December 2022. This case was investigated by the Mason County Sheriff’s Department and charges were issued by the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in 2023. The prosecution was conducted by the Department of Attorney General.
