MSHDA leader applauds Governor Whitmer for prioritizing housing in FY 2027 state budget recommendation
LANSING, Mich. – Amy Hovey, CEO and Executive Director of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), shared the following statement about the inclusion of funds for housing in the Fiscal Year 2027 Executive Budget Recommendation:
“I applaud Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s continued leadership. She recognizes housing is a foundation for economic opportunity and community stability across Michigan. Her budget recommendation reflects that commitment with a continued $50 million investment into MSHDA’s Housing and Community Development Fund, a key financial tool that will help our agency respond to housing needs in every region of the state.”
