When your retirement application is processed, we forward your insurance information to the health, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance carriers. You should receive insurance identification cards and materials a few weeks after your pension begins.

The Administrative Rules for the State Employees’ Retirement System are maintained by the Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules (MOAHR) and codified in the Michigan Administrative Code. The State Employees' Retirement System’s General and Administrative Hearing Rules are broken down into two sections Board Rules and MOAHR Hearing Rules (Part 16).
