Serving Garnishments via Non-Electronic Methods

To serve a Writ of Garnishment (MC 52) to the Department of Treasury via non-electronic methods (paper), they should be sent to the State of Michigan, using the following addresses:

Processing Fee

The State of Michigan charges a $6.00 processing fee for each garnishment. Please pay by check or money order made out to “State of Michigan.” Send your payment when you serve the Request and Writ of Garnishment.

If you're submitting multiple garnishments, you can combine the fees into one payment.

Important: Don’t staple or clip the payment to the writ.
