Worksheet 4 Estimator

Choose the year for which you are estimating your Michigan Homestead Property Tax Credit.
Line 27 of the MI-1040CR shows your Total Family Independence Program (FIP) or Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) benefits. Do not include amounts for food assistance received.
Line 33 of the MI-1040CR shows your Total Household Resources the Total Taxable and nontaxable income of both spouses, or of a single person maintaining a household.
Lines 38, 39, and 41 contain a carry-over amount used to calculate your Homestead Property Tax Credit. Line 38 is used if you qualify as a senior claimant and have checked box 5a. Line 39 is used if you qualify as a disabled claimant and have checked box 5b. Line 41 is used by all other claimants.
