The Michigan Department of Treasury is collecting updated information on service fee and tax exempt housing units within each jurisdiction.
This Includes:
- Tax Exempt Housing:
- Housing that is exempt from ad valorem property taxes and does not pay a service fee. This includes university or college-owned housing.
- Service Fee Housing:
- Housing where there is an agreement between a municipality and a property owner (private or public) to pay a service fee instead of property taxes.
