The Michigan Department of Treasury has been made aware that some "Reminder of Tax Due" letters sent to taxpayers contain an incorrect toll-free (1-800) TTY number, which may connect callers to a potential scam. Taxpayers with questions regarding unpaid individual income taxes are asked to contact the Treasury directly at 517-636-4486. We apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused.

If you have received a "Bill for Taxes Due" or a "Final Bill for Taxes Due" a payment may be made by the following methods:

Have your financial institution's nine-digit routing number and your checking or savings account number available - There is no charge to do an electronic funds transfer

- There is a $3.95 charge to use this service
- Check or money order
- Payable to State of Michigan-Collection Services Bureau
