How can I obtain copies of previously filed returns?

You may obtain transcripts of previously filed returns using Michigan Treasury eServices.

Click on the above link and follow these steps:

1. Login to the eServices Citizen Portal
2. For security reasons, you'll need to verify your ID with the following information if you have not done so already:
   • State of Michigan ID
   • Social Security Number
   • Overpayment/Tax due amount (not including interest) of most recently filed tax return
     Note: This may not be the most recent tax year. If you filed an amended for a previous year after your current year return, for example, the previous year is your most recently filed.
3. Click the return year that corresponds to your desired transcript and follow the prompts until you get to your transcript.
