If I am receiving unemployment, should I be making estimated payments?
If you elect to have state tax withheld from your unemployment income, then no estimated tax payments are required. However, if your annual tax liability after deduction of any withholding or available credits is expected to be greater than $500, then estimated tax payments are required.
