Why was my farmland preservation tax credit issued jointly with the county?

A check is issued jointly payable to you and your county treasurer when Column C, of the Schedule CR-5, was not checked, or the property tax receipts were not attached, or if the attached property tax statements do not indicate the taxes have been paid.  Please note, if you file electronically, checking the box in Colum C of the Schedule CR-5 indicates you have paid your property taxes, not that the property tax receipts have been attached.
